Best Phad Thai in Leipzig - Edit
It’s so exciting to have a 100% vegan Vietnamese restaurant in town! I'm now a regular customer, benefitting from their fast delivery (25-45 min).

- The Tanzwunder was awesome - it has a really good Phad Thai taste - the best I’ve had in Leipzig.
- The Wan Tan soup is just how I remember this soup, but I haven’t been able to find a vegan version that tastes like what I remember before I was vegan. So this was a great find.
- The Pfad der Liebe udon noodles was nice - good taste, nice sauce, and interesting veggies.
- The Tofu Curry is light and has a sweetish flavor - really good
- I had a mango lassi for the first time in years and it was delicious!
The spring rolls in the Frühlingsfreude were great and seemed to have peas in them which was a nice touch. The noodles underneath were a bit dry and the two starters (Wie alles begann [fried tofu with peanut sauce] and Gedämpfte Herrlichkeit [dumplings]) could have done with more flavors. The Pho didn’t have a lot of taste, not really any veggies, and the vegan Wurst was an odd combination. The Traumhafte Erscheinung had a nice smokey taste and the dipping sauce was good.
Es ist aufregend um ein 100% vegane Vietnamesische Restaurant in Leipzig! Ich bin jetzt eine regelmäßig Kundin und ich mag die schnell lieferung (25-45 min).
Mein lieblings:
- Die Tanzwunder war Toll - es hat eine sehr gut Phad Thai geschmack - die beste in Leizig.
- Die Wan Tan Suppe ist gerade wie ich mich errinern diese Suppe, aber ich konnte nicht dies geschmack finden seit bevor ich Vegan war. Also dies war eine sehr guter Fund.
- Der Pfad der Lieb udon nudeln war nett - gut geschmack, nett Soße, und interessant Gemüse.
- Das Tofu-Curry ist leicht und hat einen süßlichen Geschmack - wirklich gut
- Ich hatte ein Mango lassi für das erste Mal in Jahre und es war köstlich!
Die Frühlingsrollen in den Frühlingsfreude war sehr gut und hatten Erbsen die war nett. Die Nudeln unten waren ein bisschen trocken und die 2 vorspeisen konnte mehr geschmack haben (Wie alles begann [frittierte tofu mit erdnusssoße] und Gedämpfte Herrlichkeit). Der Pho Suppe hatte nicht so viel geshmack, nicht wirklich Gemüse, und der Wurst passt nicht so gut. Der Traumhafte Erscheinung hatte eine nett Rauch geshmack und der Soße war gut.

Jeżeli nie chcecie się przejeść zamówiłabym dwa-trzy dania z przystawek, danie główne jest wielkie. Smak ok, ale bez rewelacji, dość tanio. Żałuję, że nie wzięłam więcej przystawek- pierożkk były mega dobre.

Decent European Interpretation of Vietnamese Cuisine - Edit
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with lots of artificial plants. It has an almost identical menu to the vegan restaurant across the street. We had the gedämpfte Herrlichkeit as starter which were ok but very oniony. The Pho is fine. It is very thick with lots of ingredients. The Pfad der Liebe has a sweet and sour sauce common in Asian restaurants in Europe. It's tasty but not special.

Nothing too exciting. It's just your standard Vietnamese vegan fare, so you know what to expect going in. But the food here is pretty good. Card payment is allowed only on orders over 15€, so be warned.

Das Restaurant ist relativ klein aber trotzdem gemütlich mit einem zusätzlichen Sitzverteilung draußen. Sehr nettes Personal & das essen auch auch sehr lecker. Wir hatten die Ente mit Erdnuss-Sauce & die Garnelen in Dill-Tomatensauce. Die Erdnuss-Sauce war die beste die ich jemals probiert habe! 😍

We ordered via delivery-option on their website (I recommend always checking out if restaurants deliver directly, so you can avoid UberEats and co. -> not the best conditions for the gastronomy businesses, also they had no delivery-fee).

The „happy cow“ dish with seitan (it was called vegan beef, but wasn’t mock meat, but some regular seitan slices) was rather small compared to the classic rice and mock duck one with veggies (same price, around 15-16€).
Nevertheless recommended.

Very nice small restaurant with a cozy interior. I had the dumplings as starter and the happy cow dish as main. Both were really tasty and plenty. Only downside the main dish came with a side of unseasoned salad and one huge uncut leaf. Maybe I am just a weirdo eating the decoration. Anyways the service is very friendly and fast. Definitely recommended.

Really enjoyed my visit there. I wasn't feeling very hungry so I ordered a (starter) bao bun, which was bigger than I expected (which still made me very happy, besides a smaller hunger). I tried my partner's soup and enjoyed it a lot!

Read moreThe service itself was okay. What stood out a little negative is that the waiter didn’t know what their vegan duck was made of. The waiter just told me that they import their plant-based meat alternatives so he doesn’t know. It’s a little unsatisfying to me that a restaurant doesn’t know what their food consists of. I at least hope the chefs know what they are cooking with.
All in all An Chay is a place where I would certainly go from time to time if I lived in Leipzig, but it would definitely not become one of my favorite restaurants.

Food was very nice typical asian cousine, everything very tasty and well spiced with various fresh vegetables. Def worth recommendation are homemade lemonades of choice with fresh fruit etc. One big minus- no english menu which was surprise for me and then servers just told me to google translate everything myself (which gave me very negative and unfriendly vibe). I understand it's not their fault, but from my experience I would at least ask if person is looking a particular dish that can be suggested since it's all english menu (taking under consideration ofc that restaurant wasn't busy at all this point) but besides that service was okay and on point without issues.

Wir hatten als Take Away u.a. Reis mit Veganer Ente, die sehr lecker war! Da unser Essen überdurchschnittlich lange gedauert hat (es war Freitagabend), haben wir als Entschädigung noch eine Suppe dazubekommen. Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt!
