American Harvest Eatery

I've been to the restaurant twice now--once as a vegetarian, more recently as a vegan. They were helpful both times, with no reluctance, and each time provided great breakfasts and service. Last visit, they made a vegan skillet (large, tasty) and I had the roasted cauliflower on red quinoa with cherry mostarda (whoohoo!) from the menu.

Although American Harvest doesn't have a lot of vegan options - what they do offer is top notch. Heads up, for now the pasta and most of the purees have egg/dairy in them. Your safest bet are the salads without cheese, like the brussel sprout salad which is delish. They also had general tso tofu on the menu for a bit which was vegan and blow-your-mind good.

If you want a place to eat very good locally grown produce prepared by a good chef, this the place for you. Every time I have gone in here, the wait staff and kitchen have been very accommodating. They know what is in every dish and are willing something special for me every time I come in. The menu is seasonal so vegans get a nice surprise every time they come in! Last time I was there I had a 3 corn salad with arugula, corn nuts, sweet corn, and pop corn in it. I also had a creamy carrot purée with almonds and pine nuts. For dessert I had fresh watermelon sorbet. There are not many dishes listed on the menu as vegan but they are more than willing to go the extra mile for their cruelty free customers.
