Diminishing returns - Edit
I have been going to the various Al Gelatos for years - mostly this one on Ormeau. I have watched a steady decline in vegan-friendly options. It’s really disappointing because when they are there they are great.
Read moreBut you used to have multiple ice cream flavours available (not just sorbets!) and now there is always only one.
I also haven’t seen tubs for their vegan flavours for sale in ages.
I am now finding that there isn’t even one flavour available anymore. Just sorbets. So disappointing. Go to Maud’s across the road.

Vegan gelato - Edit
Very limited vegan choices - Mango, Raspberry or Biscoff when we went. I had raspberry in a tub and it was ok but not outstanding. My partner had Biscoff in a cone and enjoyed it.

Another ice cream shop, another hopeful foray; and a successful one to boot! There were only two options readily available (though there were numerous available in take home tubs), so the biscoff flavour was the obvious choice over the strawberry. Though texturally excellent, I felt that the flavour didn’t quite come through as much as I had hoped. Despite this, I would definitely be more than minded to return and try more of their offerings as I feel that they certainly have more to give.
