Not a great experience - Edit
I went to Al Aseel recently for a special celebration having previously eaten here a few years ago. I was disappointed to see that they no longer indicate vegan options on the menu and you have to ask the waitstaff. When we did ask about vegan options, the waiter appeared surprised that we would even want to eat there.
Read moreWe ordered a selection of hot and cold share plates, but when these were brought to our table we were also given a plate of beef kibbeh (which was only confirmed after we asked three different staff members why we had received more dishes than we ordered).
The manager was very apologetic and offered us a complimentary dessert, but the whole situation made us uncomfortable.
It turns out there are actually a reasonable number of vegan options on the menu, and they're tasty and filling, however the restaurant just doesn't appear to take veganism seriously.
Pros: A decent number of options
Cons: Questionable vegan-friendliness, No labelled options on menu
