Non-veg
Serves meat, vegan options available. Situated on a cosy square. Serves injeras (kind of savory vegan pancakes). Choose one (or several) dishes to eat with the injera. Most vegetarian dishes are actually suitable for vegans as well. Just ask the staff who are willing to point out which dishes are vegan. Will also offer to make a special vegan plate with six different vegan dishes to eat with injera. Open Tue-Sun 16:00-22:00. Closed Mon.

Good dining experience - Edit
Great service and experience. You pick up the food with the injera (a sort of pancake) instead of cutlery. You can request cutlery if you prefer though

Wholesome food - Edit
I had the Seni's mix Vega with Alicha, Tumtumo, Hamli, Shiro and Dubo (not on their menu).
Read moreThe Alicha was the best I've had, because it was just so tender. Both the Shiro and Tumtumo were a bit on the salty side, but that's probably my personal taste because I don't use salt when I cook at home. I liked their injera because it stayed pretty firm, which prevents a huge mess due to the injera falling apart between your fingers.
Portions don't seem big, but looks are deceiving! I'm quite a big eater and was completely stuffed with the Seni's mix Vega.
The surrounding area is pretty depressing (a lot of ghastly '80's 'architecture'), but the food is well worth the visual agony of the surrounding. And yes, this is very subjective, but my architect heart bleeds when I'm in this type of neighbourhood. So extra reason to plug the holes in my heart with wholesome food. :)
Pros: Perfectly tender alicha!, Friendly and passionate owner, Firm injera
Cons: Deplorable architecture, A tad too salty

Tasty but overpriced - Edit
I ordered one vegan dish, which cost €16 and was disappointed at the quantity, see photo. This is like 3 table spoons of the stew and 1 and a half injera. It did not fill me up.
Read moreThe taste is good and the food is freshly made. But the price-quantity ratio is disappointing.

Great food - Edit
I love Eritrean food. I've been here several times, don't know why I haven't posted a review before. I recommend one of the combination plates as they give you the opportunity to try several different flavours. Love the mango beer.

Great and original vegan food - Edit
Fantastic owners with love and heart for their country, culture, and food. The food is freshly made and served in a traditional way. About half the menu items are vegan, and choosing the platter you will get to taste all.

Beaaautiful Etheopian/Eritrean food. Such amazing flavours. They have 5 vegetarian mains that are all actually vegan unless you add cheese. Very friendly, helpful staff, homely atmosphere.

Good portion for a reasonable price - Edit
Many vegetarian and vegan options. We had delicious rolled injera as a starter. As a main dish we had injera with 4 different veggie mixtures: chickpea, tomato, lentils and kale. The lentil mixture was a bit too salty for my taste but overall it was very tasty! They also sell mango and banana beer :D

Lekker eten - Edit
Eten was lekker, bediening super aardig.
