Excellent food, great staff, but would benefit from a few more vegan options - Edit
The food here was excellent. The staff were also nice and welcoming. The food was served quickly (although I went right when they opened). I took a San Gennaro and was very impressed at how they took such simple ingredients - in this case various varieties of tomatoes - and turned them into something which was so rich, delicious and layered. Their vegan pizzas - with the exception of the Marinara - are marked clearly in the menu with their own section.
Read moreI was not sure whether to give this restaurant 4 or 5 stars because while everything was excellent (the quality of the food and the service), I think it would have benefitted from one or two more vegan options to be truly vegan-friendly. If you are vegetarian though, you will have a good selection. I am not sure if they had vegan deserts (to my knowledge, there weren't any marked on the menu), although I also did not ask specifically about this.
Overall, a place I would recommend to vegans and non-vegans alike.

Finally a good vegan pizza which is rich and thought, and not sad. Two are clearly labelled, more can be made vegan by removing some ingredients. Friendly staff. There is not possibility to reserve a table in advance, you just show up and they tell you the next available time slot.

Even though the options are limited, you can also personalize your pizza and the dough is amazing. However, they dont use any cheese alternative, thats why it is only a 6.5/10 for me. With the amazing service and the ambiente I would still rate the restaurant experience a 8/10 in total.

Disappointing but points for creativity for the vegan pizzas - Edit
There are two vegan pizzas on the menu, one of which is a calzone. I thought that the ingredients sounded interesting (capers, olives, lettuce, yellow cherry tomatoes) and different from a traditional pizza but the outcome was rather disappointing and strange. The whole wheat dough was excellent, however.

I only passed through but someone needs to mention that the location is quite at the bottom tier. It's inside a passage through a block with no views whatsoever. This may or may not matter to you. It was a bit cooler, though.

Authentic italian food with several vegan options. We were a group of 5 and we had both vegan pizzas and some starters (tomato salad and the bruschettas).

Acqua e Farina is a cute little pizzeria with very nice pizzas. Several doughs to choose from. There are two vegan pizzas on the menu, the menu changes regularly. The vegan pizzas are very creative and tasted great. Reservation not possible.

A pizza and salad place that also serves meat. A couple of clearly marked vegan items including 2 pizzas and optional active carbon or whole wheat crust. Also a number of salads, nice bruschetta, and one spaghetti dish that can be made vegan. Friendly knowledgeable staff, outdoor seating, and reasonably priced.
Read moreWe found the find delicious and interesting. The spaghetti had a puree zucchini sauce that was excellent. La Viola vegan pizza had a beet-based sauce which was nice. Pizza crust was excellent. We enjoyed the delicious bruschetta with vegan pesto and tomato salad.
Negatives were tap water was 4.5 chf and no vegan cheese for pizza. But we were really happy with our meal. Lugano/Paradiso is a bit limited later in the evening.
