Caesar salad, daily curry wrap, and their juices (I usually do something green) are my go-to’s! I tried their Greek salad too - also good but if I had to choose I’d choose the Caesar!! Laid back service, delicious and beautiful healthy food adorned with flowers — if you’re into food photography or are a foodie/ content creator you’ll love the look of everything here. I’m not really a smoothie guy but they have smoothies as well!

Staff were very friendly, waited patiently when we were overwhelmed by the number of options. First time trying an acai bowl and a pitaya. Both were delicious and healthy with lots of local fruit. The pasta salad (we tried the pesto) was so flavorful and already packed in a to-go container. Will definitely be back for more on this trip!

We ate here twice last year when we were on Maui and again twice this year. Everything is fresh and plant-based. Lots of choices. We always buy a couple of vegan desserts each time we go to have later on with coffee or tea at the hotel. All of the workers are friendly. The restaurant is run efficiently. It is homey, clean, airy, and open. There is seating inside and outside. My husband got the curry bowl. We also got the soba noodle bowl, the Caesar salad, and the falafel. Every dish is full of flavor, served nice and cool or good and hot, depending on the dish. They also have freshly squeezed juices like watermelon juice. There is a daily suit.

I was so looking forward to having lunch at AA Roots. I must have come on the wrong day. As we were driving down the coast it was almost their closing time, so I went to the website to see if I could order for pick-up. They have that as an option, but the link only puts you into a chat that is answered when they have time.
Read moreSo anyway, we get there and they are very welcoming. I say I had seen a burger on the website I wanted to try, but couldn't remember the name. (It was the Sassy Burger - Local Adzuki tempeh teriyaki on an everything bagel with pineapple and salad). I didn't see it on the menu in the restaurant. The Choices for a burger I was given were black bean burger and curry chickpea burger. I ordered the curry chickpea. It might have had 3 chickpeas in it (maybe the rest were mashed) and definitely didn't taste like curry, it barely tasted like anything other than the thick slices of pickles that soaked the bottom bun. Speaking of the bun, it was VERY soft, almost mushy. The salad was good.
To add to the issues, we took home cinnamon rolls to reheat for breakfast the next day. While it looked done, there was mushy batter in the middle, definitely not frosting. I can't tell you how disappointed I was.

This is a nice, casual cafe with outdoor seating. I had tried this place via their food truck before the Lahaina fire and really enjoyed it so I made a point to try them again, this time in their cafe. I got the vegan Caesar salad and it was delicious. Can’t wait to come back to try more things.
