No reservan por lo que hay que ir muy pronto para sentarse. Son lentos porque tienen a más gente de la que pueden atender. Como vegana no volvería. Tenían 3 opciones vegetales de las cuales una, la ensalada de cus cus con falafel no tenían me dijeron en ese momento. Acabe comiéndome una ensalada de tomate con naranja por 9 euros, un robo vaya. No volvería.

Wir mussten eine halbe Stunde auf einen Tisch warten und wurden dann sehr langsam bedient. Der Bohneneintopf, von dem hier geschrieben wird, ist wegen Butter nicht vegan und die zwei Salate sind ein Witz. Habe beide gegessen und bin nicht satt.

There was one vegan dish, a bean stew. It was okay, but nothing outstanding. The restaurant was extremely full at lunch time and people literally received burning sausages at their tables😂 nice to try once while on São Miguel.

Three options for mains on the menu are marked as vegetarian, and the wait staff were super when I was checking ingredients. The bean and veg stew was delicious. Hearty and warming on a winter day, and washed down with an organic peach and ginger soda. The espresso was particularly good

Loved the place, not sure about the vegan fejoada - Edit
This restaurant is one of the few great traditional ones on the island. Great staff and a very local atmosphere. The menu is heavily meat based and fish dishes are fresh - they know what they're doing for sure!
Read moreI ordered the fejoada as a vegan, but it tasted like it was simmered in sausage or bacon. It's not written on the menu, or in any list of ingredients (which is not available anyway), and I didn't get a chance to ask. So this is a personal experience. I personally couldn't eat it because of the taste, but I imagine why a lot of people liked it! Fries must be tried *-*

Service could have been better. There were three options on the vegetarian menu: a salad, a stew, and a “falafel salad with couscous and yogurt” which is what I ordered, without yogurt. It was pretty bland and I would have loved to request some olive oil but couldn’t get a waiter’s attention. Still appreciate having some options here! On the plus, house wine was great for €3.5! 😊

I had the vegan feijoada, and it was delicious. The staff was quite friendly. The only downside to this place is that they don't make reservations and they are small and very popular. It was a bit chaotic to get a table and took a bit of waiting, too.

Are you sure it was vegan? It tasted pretty much like sausage to me😄but it's a personal opinion! I didn't get a chance to ask for the full list of ingredients (which is not available on the menu), but the flavor of the stew reminded me of sausage.

Few delicious vegan options - Edit
~30 min wait which I was told is even longer during the peak months. But well worth it! Grab a drink while waiting and settle in. The drink selection was great. I got a local white wine from the Azores. Avocado and cucumber salad was good ans the bread was tasty and soft. My main course was a vegan feijoada and although it was different than I was anticipating it was so good! All the food felt fresh and well prepared. I will likely be going back while I’m here.

I wanted to try the vegan feixoada and this was one of the few places in Açores that had it. It was a generous amount and really tasty!

The service was super friendly. Options for any carnivores you're with are plentiful. The vegetarian options are definitely much blander. The falafel salad should be avoided. Appetizers offer a lot of good cheese/bread options if you're lacto-ovo.

The place is super hyped in Pnta Deglada and an institution for years. Be prepared to wait as they don‘t take reservations. They had as a starter mushrooms which we asked to veganize (no cheese and bqcon) and as a main course the Feijoada and a falafel salad. The falafel salad was extremely poor (4 tiny dry falafels, reminding more of a cookie) but the Feijoada was super generous and very very delicious. The staff is great and definitely ads to the experience! I‘d say if you travel with meat eaters, its s great place to go as you will have a vegan option- would not go there though if i was only with vegans because its not that interesting
