Staying here for one night- had a delicious Dinner-first time ever in Japan that I was being asked if I would like vegan cheese. On a Tuesday we were the only guests - very friendly staff. Excited wha breakfast will be like.
There is the option to have meat as well.
The guest house itself is quite old. The temple area next to it is unesco world heritage and not too busy. Was worth a visit!
I ate a delicious vegan menu at Enmanin Temple in Otsu, a 10-minute train ride from Kyoto. Very tasty and highly recommended. This is the Japanese tradition. Please note that reservations are required.
