So far the best vegan food in Japan! - Edit
Wow! What a tasty surprise!
Read moreWe got the karagee bowl and it was soo delicious. The karagee was crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The side dishes (tofu, broccoli and some cabbage) were also very well balanced and tasty.
We also got a kaki muffin and a blueberry muffin for takeaway. Both moist, big and good.
The menu is only on Japanese but with pictures.
The owner speaks at least a little bit of English. Otherwise: “kore o kudasai!” (This one please.)
You can only pay cash or with paypay.

Such a cozy place to eat! - Edit
The food was amazing! The space is super cozy. There is enough seating for around 8 people, or carry-out is available. On the walls were pamphlets about animal rights, and pictures of local animals needing adoption (I think—my Japanese is very limited). Highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible - Edit
The food was phenomenal, so so tasty with so many flavours! The vibe and decorations is so beautiful and cozy, with flowers outside and French music playing in the background. This was my favourite meal in Kyoto so far! Can not recommend enough, service so friendly! The blueberry muffin was so fluffy and buttery, divine😍 Wish could give more stars! Everything in my photo was only 2280 yen!

Delicious vegan food - Edit
There aren't many vegan options in Otsu so I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. The cafe itself is tiny so I opted for takeout and ate it on the beach. I had a bento box and raspberry muffin. Both of which were delicious! Decent prices too, the bento box (which was very filling) was ¥1250 and the muffin was ¥450.
