Yummy Ramen Bowls - Edit
Visited here for a late lunch when we were in the nearby area and had a great time. Nice location to sit outside (the interior looked very nice from what we saw). The ramen bowls were a very reasonable size with a variety of different flavours available. They offer a good lunch menu between 12-3PM.

Top tonkotsu ramen - Edit
This is an all vegan Japanese restaurant, and we really enjoyed our visit. It was quite busy on a Saturday lunchtime, so booking is recommended.
Read moreWe shared two starters. The yaki shimeji were mushroom skewers with yakini sauce. The mushrooms were so tender and juicy and had a lovely savoury flavour. They worked with and without the sweet chilli sauce.
The hiyayako was slices of silken tofu with a topping of enoki mushrooms, chilli oil, garlic oil, spring onions, sesame seeds. The topping was nice and had a slight curried taste. It was really nice but if it were served in a bowl it would have been easier to catch all the sauce and really maximize the flavour.
Then we each had a ramen. I tried the tonkotsu ramen, and it was the most garlicky broth I've ever had! It was delicious and really packed a punch. The beefy slices had an enjoyable meaty texture, but I thought they tasted a little bland compared to some meat substitutes I've had. The accompanying vegetables were cabbage, baby sweetcorn, and pak choo. The cabbage was fine and the baby sweetcorn was nice but I would have liked more. The pak choi was massive and unwieldy and hard to eat.
My partner had the tantan ramen, which he thought was fine, but a bit bland in comparison to mine. Still, the broth was tasty with a good amount of chilli oil. The mince topping tasted like a nicely cooked Beyond mince with bits of diced mushroom in there too. He enjoyed the crunch from bean sprouts and cabbage, but also wasn't a fan of the unwieldy pak choi.
We really enjoyed our meal here!

Astounding and creative dishes - Edit
We got the beet tofu gyoza for an appetizer (tasty and balanced combo), and for main courses the basil pesto udon and hiyashi tantan. In the former, the pesto had a great well-rounded nutty flavor, the Parmesan bits were so authentic that we thought it might be real cheese, and the mushroom tonkatsu had perfect texture, which I usually find objectionable. In the latter, the vegan mince was delicious and it was just the right amount of spicy. We also got the chocolate and mango-passionfruit mochi for dessert, which was very refreshing. This place has a lot of creative dishes that feel authentically Japanese but also quite unique.

Finally we found a place that had vegan Tantan Ramen (the one with minced meat). It was super amazing. Also, we enjoyed the alcohol free drinks, like Yuzu lemonade.

We’ve been here twice so far. Depending on the time of day, you might get lucky and find it a bit emptier and therefore quieter — but it can also fill up quickly and get a bit louder. The service is fast and friendly. The food is creative and very tasty, and beautifully presented. Flavor‑wise, I’ve tried some of the most interesting dishes I’ve had in a while here. Most recently, I had the Udon Alfredo (with asparagus, “cheese sauce,” cherry tomatoes, and tempeh) — very umami and delicious. The ramen is also excellent. The cocktails are creative and tasty as well. I can highly recommend the restaurant and would visit again when back in Berlin.

We were very happy with our visit to Shisomen. The food and service were excellent. We were a mixed group of vegans and non vegans and everyone was really happy with their meal. The cocktails were amazing. We sat outside and listened to a blackbird singing! We would definitely go again.

We had the beet gyoza and yasai curry. The gyoza didn’t have much flavor and the filling was quite mushy which made it feel a little bit like I ate dough wrapped with more dough , however they didn’t taste bad in any way. The curry was fantastic and comforting.

Das ist mit Abstand der beste Ramenladen, den ich kenne! Vollständig vegan, tolles Ambiente, super Service und sehr gute Cocktails. Bin hier Stammkundin und war auch schon häufig mit nicht veganen Freunden hier - alle waren begeistert. Am Abend oder am Wochenende kann es hier sehr voll werden, es empfiehlt sich vorher zu reservieren, ist aber kein Muss.
