Amazing- must visit! - Edit
Had such an enjoyable experience here- yes a little pricey but worth it! The cheese board was absolutely unreal. Staff all super friendly and helpful too. A real treat. I had a traditional Portuguese dish and it was nice to have this made vegan. Creme brulee also amazing!

Super tasty food and lovely staff - Edit
The food was absolutely delicious, traditional Portuguese food that have been veganised. We loved all the dishes we had, so much that we are going back tomorrow for another meal. We were served quickly and the staff is super nice and friendly.

I’m moving in - Edit
Definitely the fanciest meal I’ve ordered out ever. Incredibly tasty! Pretty to look at and not crazy prices. I got the seitan steak and it was a huge portion. I was here with a non veg friend who I had “lunch” with but I basically just got a veggie side dish so luckily I had the appetite to eat the full seitan steak and the potatoe dish it came with! If I’m ever back in Portugal, I’ll definitely be coming back!!

We were planning to visit Ao 26 for the longest time, and we finally did it. And oh, was it worth it!
Read moreThe food, the ambience, the space was great. Staff could improve their sympathy, but it was a great experience overall.
A perfect restaurant to take your non-vegan friends to try vegan food for the first time and actually enjoy it. 🫶

Excellent food and desserts - Edit
All dishes we had were excellent: the jackfruit ceviche, the Francesinha (so filling!), and the Islander (sausage medallion over a potato pancake).
Read moreAnd the desserts did not disappoint at all, the «Matiné das 5» (something inspired from a tiramisu) was fantastic, and the crème brûlée was delicious.
The service was polite but friendly and the eat-in space was quite pleasant.
Note that if you arrive exactly for the opening time (12.30) you may need to wait outside until they are ready.
In any case, it was one of Lisbon's highlights for me, I certainly recommend it.
Pros: excellent food, excellent desserts, good service

This restaurant would wow them in New York! After first visit, we made a reservation for our last night in Lisbon. Every course was well thought out and tasty. There were plenty of healthy options. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The desserts were sinful.

We were greatly surprised when we get to the spot, so cozy and elegant. The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing. We tried the traditional started board and was delicious! Also we had a soup, a burguer and it’s peanut and chocolate pie, everything was great, highly recommended.

If you want an evening out in a nice restaurant setting look no further.
Read moreStaff were helpful and squeezed us in for an hour and a quarter. A great feel to the restaurant and somewhere you leave feeling you have been somewhere special.
We shared two starters between three, and they were solid and cleansed the palate. The mains were great. A Seitan steak, The Islander and Francesinha. The steak was fab, compared to other steaks I have eaten, it wasn’t as tough and my daughter loved it.
The Islander was a vegan fish cake which was tops. The Francesinha was filled with Seitan, shrooms and cheese, topped in tomato sauce. Lovely.

Beautiful restaurant - Edit
The interior of this restaurant was gorgeous, and the food & sangria equally wonderful. It was difficult to decide what we wanted as there was so much that sounded great - I eventually chose the ravioli and was not disappointed, although I did feel that my portion was tiny for the amount that it cost.

High quality and creative dishes - Edit
This place offers a variety of creative dishes, among them some reinterpretations of traditional Portuguese dishes. We had the Francesinha and Tofu à lagareiro. The first one was amazing, the latter one was also good. Bacalhau à lagareiro used to be my favourite fish dish back in the days. Interestingly, the tofu part of the alternative was really nice, but the garlic part did not convince me. Usually, the fish is braised with plenty of garlic until the garlic becomes really soft and sweet, they however added not so much garlic, and it was fried to a rather crispy consistency. Ohh, on the other side, the reinterpretation of the octopus salad is just amazing, I can only recommend it.

Great experience. We would have given 5 stars but the francescinha sauce was a bit bland, and my parsnip meal needed a crunchy texture to balance. Lovely and tasty and everyone was friendly ☺️ definitely recommend, fine dining experience
