Excellent, but not only vegetarian

Biobistrot is an excellent organic food restaurant, but it serves also meat. It's specialized in beers from all over the world. It is situated in a small street, far from noise.

The best choice in Florence

Brac is probably the best one of the many vegetarian restaurants I visited around the world. And it is in the city where I usually live! I discovered it only some months ago, thanks to a colleague; in fact I ignored that this bookshop situated in the heart of the popular and artistic Santa Croce district was not only a bookshop. Now, after tasting various dishes of its menu, I can say that, besides the unique athmosphere of the place, Brac offers an excellent and very original kitchen. The "mixed plate" is rich, very well-cooked and creative, but if you decide to choose a first course or a main course made on the basis of the Carasau Sardinian bread, I think that you will not deceived. Desserts and wine are of the same level. For a complete dinner, you will spend 25 (without wine)-35 euros.

A first class-restaurant for the food, but the price is reasonable. I was there twice in a very hot period, last August, but the athomosphere was comfortable. A large choice of dishes and a good service.

A real gourmet vegetarian restaurant

I discovered La cuchara de san Marcos thanks to the vegetarian owner of the Hostal Quit cultural, and I am very happy to have done it.! I did not see any kind of meet in the menu, but all the dishes seemed to me very interesting. I ate a vegetarian version of the typical Ecuatorian soup yahuarlocro, a vegetarian hamburger made of tofu, quinua and other good ingredients and an excellent "figs cheese-cake". As a drink, I chose a natural naranjilla juice and one espresso coffee (but they have a large choice of organic coffees and teas). The bill was around 18 USD. All the products used by the cook are organic. The athmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. Located in a peaceful corner of the Old Historical Quito Center, at the end of the beautifil calle Junin, La cuchara de San Marcos includes also a shop of handcrafts made by recycled materials, natural cosmetics, marmelades etc. All these products come from the Fair Trade circuit.
