- About:
- My life is beautiful. I'm in love with life. I'm vegan. I am a filmmaker/ film student at AAU. I'm working on my BFA in Film with an emphasis on Directing and Screenwriting. I hope to change the way people view certain aspects of life, through film. I want to leave the world a little better than I found it, or else I don't see a point to life.

More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I have too many reasons. ( : Here are some good quotes: "The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were created no more for humans than black people were made for whites, or women for men." -Alice Walker "Be the change you wish to see in the world." -Ghandi "When the people lead, the leaders will follow." -Thomas Jefferson "I'm going to camp out on the land I'm going to try an' get my soul free ... Then can I walk beside you I have come here to lose the smog And I feel to be a cog in something turning Well maybe it is just the time of year Or maybe it's the time of man I don't know who I am But you know life is for learning ... We are stardust Billion year old carbon We are golden Caught in the devil's bargain And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden" -Joni Mitchell, Woodstock "I'm just saying, you only get one life; There's no god, no rules, or no judgments except for those you accept or create for yourself. And once it's over, it's over. Dreamless sleep for ever and ever. So why not be happy while you're here.... really." -Nate, Six Feet Under "People call these things imperfections, but they're not. That's the good stuff. And then we get to chose who we let into our weird little worlds." - Good Will Hunting
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I'd really like to meet some cool people in my area who share the same sort of values as I do. I just moved to San Francisco in late August 2007 from the East Coast. My roommates are veg, but they are the only non-meat munchers I know here.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
England, and Hawai'i are my two favorite places that I've been. I plan on going again within the next couple of years. I'd eventually like to live in England, maybe. I'd like to visit that dinosaur park in Dubai, which reminds me of Jurassic Park, and plan on doing so next year. I'd also love to go to Egypt, Venice, eh, I'm up for a lot of places...
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I love food way too much to narrow it down to 200 words. Instead, here are some of my interests: Food, sleep, cats, veganism, good films, making movies, making new friends, old friends, photography, art by Andy Goldsworthy, mahjong, Settlers of Catan, Super Nintendo, board games, betting monopoly money, writing, reading, tea, jasmine, being outside in warm sunny weather, sunshowers, sewing, clothes (especially skirts and dresses), candlelit showers/baths, procrastinating, outdoor bars (when the weather is nice), badminton, English music, Avebury Henge, tribal living, Survival International, anthropology, pirates, the universe, outer space, dimensions, parallel universes, time travel, reality and questioning what that is, fantasy, dinosaurs, prehistoric things and animals, volcanos, the Bermuda Triangle, creatures that live in the sea (especially the ones that are really far underwater), inventing and discussing theories, mythical creatures, vespas, snuggling, petting kitties, coloring, games, blowing bubbles, taking walks, hiking, camping, bonfires, organizing or rearranging things, talking to myself, leaving ridiculous rambling messages on answering machines and voicemail, drunk dialing, being OCD, etc.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Since there's no other movie section, these are my faves: 12 Monkeys, Across the Universe, Alice in Wonderland (and anything related), Amelie, American Beauty, AI, At Land, Battle Royale, Catch 22, Chicago, Children of Men, City of God, Crazy/Beautiful, The Crucible, Cube, Cube 2, Dancer in the Dark, Dumplings (from Three Extremes), Empire Records, Enchanted, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Everything is Illuminated, The Experiment, Fantastic Planet, Fast Food Nation, The Fifth Element, The Fountain, Freeway, Garden State, Ghost World, Going Home (from Three Extremes... II), Grumpier Old Men, Grumpy Old Men, Half Nelson, Harry Potter (each one gets better, I think I mostly like watching them grow up), History of the World part 1, The Island, Jurassic Park (and JP2), The Labyrinth, Lady in the Water, The Life Before Her Eyes, Lilya 4-Ever, The Magdalene SIsters, Marie Antoinette, Memoirs of a Geisha, Meshes of the Afternoon, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, Napoleon Dynamite, Nightmare Alley, Pleasantville, Powder, The Princess Bride, Requiem for a Dream, Rory O'Shea was Here, Run Lola Run, Running with Scissors, Saving Grace, Stay, The Secret of NIMH, Suicide Club, They Shoot Horses Don't They?, This Film Is Not Yet Rated, Thumbsucker, The United States of Leland, Vanilla Sky, The Virgin Suicides, Voices of a Distant Star, Waking Life, Welcome to the Dollhouse, White Oleander, and probably more...
