And I'm also looking for Scheese, a truly delicious brand of vegan cheese made in the UK. If anyone knows where you can buy those as well, please let me know.

Posted by kindlizard at 02/11/08 16:11:45I have talked to the Tofutti people in the past about their "vegan cheese" on their pizzas. The ingredient list didn't list it parenthetically. They were very receptive and kind, so I'd imagine if you gave their office a call ( I think in Clark, NJ) they'd be receptive and responsive to your issue.
Also, seek out Follow Your Heart, another "cheese" that I think is very good, melts well under the broiler.
Posted by Tatiana at 02/18/08 16:14:04I'm sure there are also others but this is the first one I happened to find:http://www.blackduckimports.com/Products/Creamy/creamy_original.cfmso it must not be impossible to make is low or no trans fats. This one also specified no hydrogenated fats, that's good to look for. Other brands may use hydrogenated fats which give trans fats, but if the amount is small they may still list it as 0 grams.
Here's the site I went to that found the above site:
There's lots of other companies listed as well, so you can probably search on their sites, too!
