Vegan Travel Suggestions Discussion Forum

We recently returned from a visit to the south of Morocco. I just wanted to recommend a couple of places we stayed because eating vegetarian/vegan in Morocco can be a bit hit and miss. The first is a place called Riad Tafilag in Taroudant. There is an exceptionally nice guy called Ben who works on reception and serves breakfast who is a committed vegan, despite it being very difficult in terms of local culture. He can assure you what is vegetarian/vegan on the menu and is pretty inspirational to chat to too. Food is great, both breakfast and three course evening meals on offer (staying guests only). The other place is the Ecolodge Atlas Kasbah, in the countryside about 30 mins from Agadir airport. They have vegetarian and vegan options available at all times and serve breakfast lunch and dinner (inc. non-guests). Their food was amazing and they grow a lot of the ingredients, you can walk through their lovely gardens too.
