Smithfield Inhumane Crates
Posted by Tatiana at 12/16/10
I wish they'd just stop what they are doing all together, but since I'm sure they will continue to provide this product, they should at least provide more humane housing for their pigs. See below for more info and to join the cause!
Through an undercover investigation, the HSUS has collected video footage and
photographs documenting the suffering endured by female breeding pigs held in
gestation crates on a factory farm operated by a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods,
in Waverly, Virginia.
I hope you'll stand with me and urge Smithfield to honor their word and get
these inhumane crates out of their barns by 2017.
