Napfenyes Etterem is my favorite place in Budapest. They have pizza, which is Hungarian style, meaning it is heavy on the cheese and can have some unusual ingredients. It's really good, and my non-vegan friends said they wouldn't have guessed it was vegan cheese. They also have a lot of traditional Hungarian dishes, such as fried palacsinta, which is my favorite entree. The grilled seitan that my friend got looked incredible, too. I asked if any of the desserts had honey in them and was told none of them did. Also, they don't use chocolate, only carob, and it is better than most carob I've had. The prices are good, but a little higher than some other Hungarian places. However, I think for the quality and quantity of food, it's a very good deal. For instance, a main dish is usually about 2000 forints, which currently is about $9. I went here three times in as many days, and the only thing I didn't like was the Caesar salad, which was made with mayonnaise instead of a regular Caesar dressing. Everything else was wonderful. Also, I got some pastries to go, which were cheap and great.
