• A Gem in Florentine Neighborhood

I love the atmosphere here - it reminds me a lot of restaurants in the Andalusia region of Spain. But better because it's all vegan and vegetarian! You can sit as long as you want here: outside at one of the 3-4 tables out front, or in one of the 3 or so interior rooms (dark and intimate), or in the patio in the back. The menu is not very big but there is a good selection of different types of food, including breakfasts, salads, sandwiches, mains and desserts. Many items are marked vegan or can be veganized. From Sunday through Thursday, there are business lunch specials available, and the very reasonable prices are posted on the wall. The waitress told me that all the desserts are vegan. I loved the brownie, which is flourless and made with dates, chia seeds, and figs, and comes with sorbet. The vegan burger was delicious and served with roasted potatoes and yams and a chili sauce and a salad. Also for dessert, amongst other things, is a vegan "Snickers" and you can ask for the vegan "Krembo" (like a Mallomar) not yet on the menu.
