• Great place to have vegan dinner

My wife and I have struggled to find restaurants in Rome that we can take our 5 yr old for dinner since (1) he is picky, (2) we are use to eating early relative to Romans (~6pm vs. after 8pm) and (3) we are vegan. This clean restaurant did not disappoint. At first we were a little taken back as we speak no english and the menu is only offered in italian. However, the wait staff did their best to translate and we had a wonderful experience. My wife had gnocchi and I had risotto, while our son had plain penne pasta in olive oil with vegan parmesan...along with a few other items the server helped direct us to that I have no idea how to translate! Everything was excellent! A few quick thoughts: (1) don't be detoured, the neighborhood looks sketchy but the restaurant is very clean and nice on the inside, (2) they DO NOT take credit card, cash only, (3) no cappuccino after dinner, (4) 95% of menu is vegan, all other items vegetarian. Overall, a wonderful experience and a place we look forward to eating at again....if only I knew what we ordered!
