• Lovely people creating great vegan wines!

If you are looking for vegan wines from Rheinhessen, look no further! This is an awesome winery in a fringe suburb of Worms offering a wide range of ecological and all vegan wines. Their cheapest wines start at about 4.50EUR for a bottle of 1 litre and absolutely great ones can be bought from about 6 EUR for a bottle of 0.7 litre. They also offer specialities like sweet dessert wines and barrique wines which are a bit more costly, but the prices are not crazy like at some of the more famous wineries in the area. You can taste all their wines on the premise and the owners are lovely and will happily guide you through their wines, no matter how much knowledge you have about wines already. I am not a wine expert but have tasted the wines of quite a lot of wineries in Rheinhessen and to my taste Weingut Hemer belongs to the better wineries in Rheinhessen, and most definitely to the ones where you get a great quality for your money. The fact that they advertise their wine as vegan is a plus for me as well. Also they offer some non-alcoholic drinks: A red and a white grape juice plus a sparkling grape juice which has a bit of the sour, dry taste of bubbly wine but has no alcohol. You can reach this place by bus from Worms or cycle here! (but don't cycle back if you are drunk after the tasting!)
