I have been at Habibi's several times within the last couple of years and have left almost always satisfied. The staff there take pains to offer each guest a satisfactory stay. It's furnished in good style, they have some board games and so on, German newspapers on a daily basis and a notice-board with all kinds of announcements and information (which isn't being cherished for that much lately, unfortunately); so even coming alone you won't become bored easily. Sometimes the owner (a friendly Indian woman) comes around as well to engage you in a conversation. As far as I remember I have never met anyone who was disappointed by the food, so that's certainly a huge upside of Habibi's. The special daily menu changes a lot, they try to offer a big variety with dishes from local ingredients. In terms of price I wouldn't call it inexpensive, but for that you get high quality food. After all the prices are fair and you'll get a pretty good value. In my opinion only beverages could be a bit cheaper. The vegan gyros a always a good choice, also often times they offer really great soups. The vegan tiramisu as dessert is being showered with compliments on a regular basis. The location is not in very downtown but still pretty close, somewhat hidden a an unsuspicious-looking living street. I am not sure if I should mention it or not, but there have been rumors over the years that the staff have to cede their tips to the owner who allegedly keeps it to herself. I can't claim with certainty whether that's true or not though. After all Cafe Habibi is consistently a great venue, come what may. Consequently I do give five cows.
