  • Vegans had better like salad

Bioway is a large food-court buffet from which you select items for your meal and pay according to the weight of the food. Quite reasonably, all the labels are only in Polish. Less reasonably, it can be quite tricky to work out which label applies to which dish. Vegan and gluten-free items are indicated, but the symbols look a lot like each other. I visited three times, but only ate here the first time, and that was because nowhere else was open at the time. As it was late, I was not too perturbed that there was only the one vegan main dish available. There were plenty of salads, plus rice and kasha, to make up the bulk. The lack of vegan-friendliness applied to three of the four vegetable side-dishes too. A highlight was the naturally brewed, unfiltered kwas available to drink. The other two times were at lunchtime, and both times I went somewhere else to eat. There were no vegan main dishes available at all at either time, and the same single vegetable side dish. And I don't actually like salad that much.
