• Lots of vegan options, including dessert

What a cool place! We came on a Monday night and they were having open mic. The staff were friendly. My vegan server told me that the owner likes to provide options for vegans, and boy do they! The menu includes cauliflower tacos or taco bowls, eggplant Parmesan (with tofu ricotta), and some yummy sounding salads. I ordered something from their specials which they told me is a new item: "vegan baked caserecce casserole" with tofu ricotta, basil pesto, garlic, spinach and a delicious marinara sauce. Everything melted together well and tasted like cheesy Italian food from any of my pre-vegan days. My husband is not vegan and loved the chicken dish he ordered. It was great for a date because both of us were happy. I would not have thought a bar/tavern would cater to vegans. Pleasant surprise, good vibe, fun live music ... and vegan peppermint patty dessert. A generous portion, too. Very rich and dense. There was also an avocado chocolate mousse on the menu.
