  • Hard to find, but worth the bother

This place was recommended to me by my Vegan Vietnamese friend. It's on a Vietnamese restaurant finder/review app called 'Foody' so locals know about it, but tourists don't (until now!). It's really hard to find, tucked away down a lane that's not in a well-known part of Da Nang, use Googlemaps to find it! The speciality of this place is the Pumpkin Stuffed with brown rice, veg and lotus beans, it was delicious and unique - I've not seen this dish anywhere else. A total bargain at only 50,000vnd! We also had some Banh Xeo (savoury crepe), 20,000vnd, which was very good, nice and crispy and not greasy; and 'Khoai Tay' (fried potato patties), 30,000vnd - I loved these, they resembled Indian Onion Bhajis and were flavourful and crunchy. Highly recommended! They didn't have a menu in English when I went and the owner and staff didn't speak much English either, so use google translate if needed! As far as I know, they don't have any animal products on the menu, chay places don't usually.
