This small, but decent capacity, lo-fi cafe specializes in small things done well. They have a small food menu with 4 choices, 2 of which appeared vegan (toast n' beans, soup always vegan according to menu). A fully stocked, boutique coffee and teas selection made my bro a very cute and very tasty mocha in a Japanese tea cup, with my Americano being smooth with a bit more sharpness than Kaffee O, but not as sharp and strong as nearby district. We got 2 soups: curried sweet potato and bread, soup was thick and tasty with decent spice palette, clearly not bought in. Good size too, not huge. The gelato, huge selection including vegan choices were the standout feature of the cafe. They were SO GOOD. Think of a smoother and tastier version of ice cream, brilliant for the sunny spells but can see myself heading here year round. Got very busy, especially for gelato even for our late lunch - have seen complaints for that, but you could see they really were trying and made no foul ups. Compared with other indie places, this is low staffed but got gelato out quick. All in all very, very impressed at the stripped back but artisan, quality and reasonable cost for all our delicious food, coffees and treats. Not loads of space but can accommodate a few in its stylish walls. Its going on the rotation!
