• Delicious vegan food with a view!

We visited Biarritz and went to Beach Garden for lunch. Biarritz doesn't have any fully veg restaurants yet so I found this on Happycow and local blogs. First of all the location is perfect: on a hill with a amazing view of the ocean. On a beautiful day like during our visit, it cannot be beat. Then we were worried that because the place is quite small we would not be able to find a spot but there was a table for 4 right at the entrance. I noticed that the majority of people were getting take outs but we had nowhere to go so we wanted to eat in. The menu had clearly marked vegetarian options as well as vegan options and they have smoothies too. I got a salad and my husband got the vegan bagel. We were both happy with our choice and my salad had roasted veggies, fresh veggies and rice and chickpea as well as hummus on top. Yum!! For dessert I spotted a vegan chocolate mousse and it was the best chocolate mousse I ever had! I asked the owner how she made it because it was really "mousse-y". She confirmed she made it with chickpea brine! Woohoo! The owner was super friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. I hope there is more and more demand for it. A really successful lunch with an amazing view. I really recommend this place in Biarritz, eat in or on the beach but eat there!! Updated from previous review on 2017-06-19
