• Heaven in the mountains

Wow! After travelling the Piemont and Liguria for two weeks, we spent our last week at this heavenly place. Fantastic room (Mountain Suite) with a beautiful view and a lot of space (walk in wardrobe) to store the many boxes of wine we bought on our tour. The wellness... fascilities are great - indoor pool, sauna, steam room, infrared cabin and yoga spaces. But the best is the natural pool outside and the old (as in mature trees) and beautiful garden. Very, very relaxing! A not unimportant fact is that children under the age of 14 are not allowed, which for us is a very welcoming issue. The food... what can we say, out of this world! Set menue in the evening, five courses all very individual and exeptionally delicious! Breakfast buffet is the best we've ever seen - a large variety of sweet and savoury niceties. Scrambled tofu and crepes upon request and amazing. The people... this is a place run by professionals and one can sense it every moment of the day. From the welcoming at our arrival, to the day to day issues at the reception and especially the service in the restaurant - very swift, polite, friendly and efficient. The location... is as beautiful as it can get! Südtirol NOT to be mixed up with the rest of Italy! This is a completely different world with functioning infrastructure and not the usual chaos one can experience (which we did many times) in Italy. Südtirol is passion AND perfection! The hotel... has only been refurbished in the largest parts last year and is up to top-standards. A lot of beautiful wood has been used and one can smell it in every corner of the hotel (a non-smoking hotel!). The room... with long (220cm!) beds and beautiful bathrooms with large shower and seperate toilet and bidet - within the bathroom. Our first time in Südtirol, but certainly not our last with such a heavenly place to stay!
