I decided to visit EVE Encinitas while travelling solo through Southern California. I am so glad I did! The service was beyond friendly; I didn't really feel like I was eating alone. More than one staff member was very helpful choosing what to eat, and giving me the prettiest slices so that I could take photos. I had weird, specific "Food Goals" while travelling. I wanted to try Jackfruit. Since the most recommended dish didn't come with it, the staff helped me choose a dinner bowl that would go nicely with added Jackfruit. I ordered the Havana Affair Buddha Bowl, with Jackfruit. This bowl also came with cooked Plaintains, another mini "goal" of mine to eat. The bowl was amazing! Absolutely unique and warm while still very fresh. For dessert, I was recommended the Espresso Cheesecake - no objections. I added a Coconut Lemon Ball, just because I was drawn to it. It was alright, but nothing spectacular. The cheesecake was perfect; just hovering the border of "too sweet", and in a perfect size to enjoy the whole thing. The restaurant is beautiful and earthy; I loved the wall of "vines" - I wish the table next to it had been available! The staff asked me often how things tasted, and a random local even shared a slice of her pizza with me when I ogled at it. Finally, for Liking and Following the restaurant's Instagram and Facebook pages, I got $2 off my order! Can't beat that! I'd definitely return to EVE to try their breakfast items, and to support such a wonderful place.
