  • Nice food, but too expensive

The vegan tasting menu takes us, according to Farang, for a “culinary journey to Southeast Asia”. It certainly does offer some very nice dishes, with many familiar elements and an occasional surprise. However, the food does not push the limits or introduce enough surprises for it to be worth the money. Maybe our expectations were high, given the standing of the restaurant, but I think they should be with the relatively high price of the meal. That said, the staff were knowledgeable , discreet and overall very professional. The restaurant itself was rather large (25 metres long) and dark, with effective lighting and décor. As LeoM states in the last review, it is a tad on the noisy side: not surprising since almost all of the 200 seats were taken when we were there on an early Wednesday evening. If your budget is not a problem, Farang is definitely worth a visit; if you are a tourist in Stockholm, with limited money and/or time, I would recommend other restaurants and eateries before Farang.
