  • good but where's the food?

I don't know, maybe it was an off day, but we went here for lunch and found this place good but not great. The greeting wasn't particularly welcoming and we weren't given any option other than the daily special. For starters, we were presented with a very tiny portion of bread, comically tiny, followed by a very delicious gazpacho. The main consisted of polenta cubes with a minimal veggie topping (i.e., not much other than the polenta). I'm a vegetarian. I eat lots of vegetables. Our impression here was that we were being served a budget-stretching meal, rather cheap. Granted, 9 Euro is not expensive by city standards, and this included wine, beer or water. Dessert was an extra 2.50 Euro but it was excellent. So I'm giving a qualified review for our mixed experience, and we were not inclined to return.
