I had first read about this place on happycow some years back. Ate here once then and again in January 2017. Here's my Fine Garden review update. At the first meal we ordered from the lunch special menu. Cheap prices. Each main entree came with white rice or bread (extra for brown rice) plus small soup, and hot tea. We ordered 4 different ones to try. Tasty. Typical of restaurant-style vegetarian Chinese food. We returned for the dinner menu + dim sum items. Ordered a bunch to share. Everything was well-flavored. Lots of savory food. We like the tofu & eggplant claypot, the pan-fried turnip cake, the stir fry rice noodles, and the fried sesame "fish" strips (sweet & savory). Atmosphere is basic. Like other veg restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley and Monterey Park area, the ingredients used are conventional. We knew what to expect.
