  • Great vegan/veg place near Big South Fork!

We found Kristina's Kitchen when looking for a place for lunch afterwards morning of canoeing on the Big South Fork. What a pleasant surprise! Kristina greeted us on entering, and gave us a couple of menus to peruse. After a quick browse of these, she showed us the entree of the day, a pasta salad made with cashew "mayo". We both decided on that, plus the hummus and chips, and a cup of the tomato basil soup. We wandered around her shop for a few minutes while waiting, then sat down to enjoy our food. The hummus was silky smooth (haven't had any this good since Dearborn!), and the soup was fantastic-love the quinoa mixed in to add to the texture. The pasta salad was excellent, too. Kristina sat with us while we munched, and shared her recipe for the hummus and the cashew dressing. She was delightful to talk to, and gave us a tip to check out Yahoo Falls while in the area. We picked up vegan cookies for later, and some of her granola. We highly recommend Kristina's Kitchen when in the area!
