- Disappointing
Not feeling inclined to navigate the build-your-own menu, I decided to pick one of the pre-built bowls so that I could be confident that the flavours would complement each other. Grumbling to myself about overblown health claims, I picked the "Immunity" set. The quinoa tasted bitter (I think it wasn't rinsed properly), and the soup was mediocre, but otherwise, all the individual meal components were quite tasty, indeed the kale and red cabbage salad with tahini dressing was positively delicious. However, the various parts of the meal just didn't go together, and since most of the meal was presented in one bowl, mouthfuls of clashing flavours were unavoidable. Also, I'm not sure if this is usual, but when I was there, I felt that the staff behaved as if serving me was a huge imposition on them. I know that customer service jobs suck sometimes, I've been there, but a little effort at friendliness goes a long way. I tried this place because it was an all-vegan place in a food court, but to be honest, if I was eating in the vicinity again, I would probably go to the Spud Bar in the same food court. While it's not all vegan, they can cater easily to vegans, and it's cheaper and tastier while still being quite healthy.
