  • An Amazing Experience

As other reviews have mentioned, the menu is only in Japanese but the owner was extremely helpful and explained the menu to us line by line. We ordered 6 appetizers, 2 main courses, and 1 dessert which was a good amount of food for two hungry people. The store is small but extremely cute. The food was absolutely delicious. My favorite appetizer was likely the eggplant. The battered and deep fried cheese was also very interesting and unique. My partner really like the avocado sashimi. It was also very unique and normally I would have said the avocado was under-ripe but I think that was perhaps the point, chewy avocado with great flavor. The meals we got were the mushroom ricotta gratin and the spaghetti. I loved both of them. The spaghetti had an herb-y flavor that paired extremely well with the tomatoes and the cashews, delicate flavors extremely well combined. The gratin had a wonderful creamy texture and great mushroom flavor. Overall I would say if you're in the area, you have to try this place. Was a bit pricy but I would pay almost anything for an experience like that. Also just to add a fun little story: the owner asked us where we were staying (a hotel near the station) and gave us directions to get back. When he noticed we were walking the wrong way he ran after us in the rain to notify us of that fact. Just adorable. Updated from previous review on 2017-09-17
