- Could be better
I had read about this place on happycow, and here's my Henry's Marketplace review. There are several Henry's Markets in the Southern California area. I was curious to check one out, but this one turned out to be a disappointing experience. Before I walked into the market, I noticed only inexpensive, conventional fruits for sale and on display outside. Upon walking in, a stench overwhelmed my senses. I did not like it. The store smelled like Ralphs, a conventional market. Maybe it was the meat department or the conventional baked goods. While Henry's carries many of the healthier / alternative food products (cereals, baby foods, etc.) I was disheartened to see a conventional bulk foods section, conventional candies and baked goods. The deli was small with a couple tofu dishes placed next to many meat items. I had wanted to get some food here, but I couldn't. I had to walk out. Nonetheless, there are some good natural food products sold here, and it's better than nothing.
