- A healthy take on Chinese-Malaysian cuisine
This is not the kind of place you should visit if you want every dish to blow you away with strong flavours, such as Szechuan pepper or Ma Po sauce. September 18 serves vegan Malaysian Chinese dishes with a clean, low-oil, 'healthy' feel. Portions are relatively large and are worth the money, though this is not the place to come to for a hit of protein: even our tofu-based dishes had very little tofu in them Those expecting an Asian flavour hit should try elsewhere. Our dinner left us full but devoid of any delicious aftertaste. The huge chicken drumsticks, made out of tofu skin, did look fantastic, though.
