- Authentic vegan Balinese cuisine
This small eatery is not fancy and doesn't need to be. It is clean, airy (the seating area is on a deck but under cover), and serves a great 'buffet'-style lunch to locals and tourists. This was one of the few places in Bali where I encountered locals having the same food as tourists! For 25000 rupiah, you will be given a range of savoury treats around a mound of rice: this is nasi campur. The food is fresh, not oily, and really tasty. I was shocked at the simplicity and the quality of the operation. And if you're thirsty, there's freshly-made fruit juice and dirt-cheap (13,000 rupiah) fresh drinking coconuts available also! I cannot fault this establishment. I'm not sure why it's not listed as vegan, because on the day I was there, all items were vegan - I asked.
