  • Fully comforting and flavorful vegan cuisine

I admire this place. I am so invested in the ability to get hot, fluffy vegan beignets or crispy, packed tofu poboys that I am willing to spend 50 minutes on two of the sub par New Orleans public transportation lines in order to make it to this restaurant from north of the city. The people are friendly and every menu item I have ever tried has been highly delicious and fulfilling. This includes the vegan take on mac and cheese, the gumbo, the southern fried po' boy, the beignets, the fried tofu nuggets, and the barbecue sandwich. They are all beyond your expectations of quality for any restaurant-served dish and they will fill your stomach. It is a cozy, modern, and lightly decorated space in the restaurant. I would dine here weekly if I lived closer.
