- Sampe's for lunch
Sampe's is a spacious informal eatery where you'll get a set menu for very inexpensive 8 soles. Usually locals who work nearby would spend their lunch break there, in the evening the place becomes quieter. Staff is friendly and helpful but you shouldn't expect anyone to understand English. The food there was OK, surely nothing special, but fairly healthy dishes to appease your hunger. The two times I was there the food was served almost cold though (admittedly it was way after peak time in the evening). Nonetheless I liked Sampe's more than the other vegetarian restaurant close beside it on the same street.
