  • Must go when in Frankfurt

Give that there are only 4 vegan restaurants/cafe in Frankfurt; and encouraged by previous reviews, I decided to go to Chimichurri during my only evening in the city. I don't know the city at all, but it seemed to me that the location is a bit out of the beaten path. Having said that, I must say it's worth the extra walking exercise. The menu is not extensive; but there are around 10 plates to choose from. Some of them are sort of "permanent" (flammeküchen, "burger", green frankfurt sauce, etc.), and the rest change every day (soups, salads, seitan-based plates, cereals). I had the "green Frankfurt sauce" with soy schnitzels, which was tasty and very filling. Things looked so yummy I wish I was able to try more than one thing! Menu is in German, but the nice waitress translates it to you in English ( which could take many minutes as there are many plates :) ). Service was great and atmosphere was quite good too. If I'm ever in Frankfurt again, I'll definitely stop by. I hope next time they would actually have the Chimichurri on their menu. Updated from previous review on 2017-01-12
