• As good as (vegan) Mexican food gets in this town?

I feel like for decades Mexican food in Germany was a very German version of this ethnic food. Or with other words, not very authentic. Luckily this has started to change in recent years, and Chaparro might very well be one of the best places to taste (more) authentic Mexican food in Berlin. The fact that they have vegan options is of course even better. It says all their dishes can be veganized, but I've never enquired about their quesadillas. They definitely have different vegan fillings for burritos or tacos. On Wednesdays they also have two taco specials for €1, one of them always vegan. On top of that they also have delicious homemade salsas (habanero!), and carry a few mezcals. Awhile ago they also did a whole vegan week - maybe they'll repeat that one day.
