I feel like I need to start this review with an apology. I am sorry. I have never given a bad review to a vegan restaurant before and I feel guilty for doing so because I know we should support such venues but at the same time, my experience there was quite bad. First of, after driving around for a very long time to find parking, I finally stopped on the side of the street to go in and check they are definitely open, serve vegan food and we can eat there. The lady confirmed all of the above and advised where to find parking. We were back after a few minutes, and tried sitting at one of the tables but were then told they were all booked! There were three couples with kids there and three empty tables. She was very sorry but there were no tables available... Astounded, we noticed two free stools at the bar where we were allowed to sit. After all the hassle parking, we were finally there, all-vegan restaurant, we stayed. The menu looked really promising, at 2pm, we ordered artichokes with soya, seitan with veggies, fake chorizo, patatas bravas and chickpea with spinach stew - we were really hungry. And both burgers to take away (we were going hiking the next day). We were quickly served our drinks and crisps straight from a bag, then some peanuts to satiate our hunger. Patatas bravas arrived at 2:35... Ten more minutes for the chickpeas... Then, from 2:50, slowly, slowly the rest of the food trickled in. Patatas were ok. Chickpeas was quite nice. Hard to mess up chickpeas, right? Everything else was pretty horrible. I mean we tried eating the meals but just couldn't and left at least half of each, including the burgers on the hike!!! They also had a lemon cheesecake which looked really nice so, still hopeful, we ordered, and here is why they get two stars instead of one - it was really nice! We got another to take away. Unfortunately, for us, the puzzle was a very disappointing visit. I have written this with a hope they improve because we need vegan restaurants around. If you have no other choice, go, maybe you will like it, but for now, I recommend going to one of the other four places offering vegan food in Gijon instead. Ps. One table found its owners. When we left, two tables stayed unoccupied...
