- Talalask Vegan Stall in Food Court
The Central Mall is ridiculously HUGE and has several food areas and stalls so it's worth noting that Talalask is a stall within the Food Court - this is a separate Court on 7th Floor with food stalls arranged around a seating area with red-orange chairs. At the entrance you are given a plastic card like a credit card that the stallholders can add your purchases to and you pay for everything at the exit. Talalask is not well marked. We found them in the corner at the end of the row of stalls to the left of the entrance. The food pictures had "talalask" in one corner each which was the only indication we had that we had found the right place! Most of the signs are in Thai but It's easy to order as they have pictures of the dishes in front of the stall with the prices and everything is vegan. Some dishes were made fresh to order but there were also some curries on hot plates. We had jumbo noodles pad thai with tofu and fake meats, steamed rice and a spicy mock-meat curry, and got some drinks from another stall. Prices are pretty cheap: 50-75 baht per main dish and the portions were generous. The really fat jumbo noodles were good and everything had lots of flavour.
