- Nowt and Midden there wasn't in the large Shiel.
Took in this place over the weekend - the buffet, not the a la carte - and I have to be honest; I was slightly taken aback, if not shocked at the final bill. Not having visited this upholstered place previously - nor inclined to visit again - the individual menu may (or may not) tally up the same. However, if you're just feeling a tad peckish rather than famished; a single plate with a few tiny spoonfuls all that's required to offset your stomach pangs, then I'd suggest you go elsewhere. We arrived early on the Sunday, with the waitress kindly informing us when the buffet dishes would be set out and ready. The choice is good; plain and pilau rices, several different sorts of curry; dosas, and a salad bar. But again not the greatest value if you're a tiny eater.
