This is one of those places that both vegetarians and non-veg can enjoy their meals at daily. All dishes are cooked on the spot, and the quality is seldom compromised despite the Low prices. Even though my mom and my Brother and basically everyone I know recommend this place for their Hokkien mee (request for eggless if you’re a vegan) and Xing Zhou beehoon, I am more impressed and a complete sucker for their fish slice soup. The “fish” is our usual Chinese seaweed tofu skin fish, but what made me very happy is the amount and variety of vegetables in the dish. Instead of merely bok choy, the dish included very generous portions Chinese white cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, cauliflower and vegetarian fishballs, complete with a generous topping of seaweed. The one time where the new lady working there almost messed up my order by forgetting the seaweed, she came back with an entire bowl of shredded seaweed even before I noticed that the seaweed was gone. That service attitude was pretty cute :)
