  • Good bread and menu

This Le Pain Quotidien location is just a couple doors from A Votre Santa (a vegan friendly staple in this Brentwood neighborhood). Its setting creates a rustic yet trendy vibe, like the other Le Pain locations. Here's my updated review for happycow. Their revised menu is the same as the Le Pain Quotidien in Beverly Hills/LA and perhaps at their other locations throughout (this is an national & international chain). The vegan suitable dishes are all marked on the menu with an orange carrot, which makes it convenient to find. The fresh baked artisan bread loaves are delicious, though expensive. You could get 1/2 loaf or full. I noticed that a vegan scone was available in the pastry section (like the Beverly Hills location). Vegetarians, vegans, and non-veg eaters can all come here and break bread together. Eat inside (tables & communal wooden table) or outside. It's not cheap, though. The open face sandwiches are a bit small... but this is West LA / Brentwood. The Le Pain brand aims at middle-upper income diners.
