PLANT offers something for everyone-- this "restaurant with roots" is a soup to nuts dining experience that is second to none. The culinary artistry of Jason Sellers, formerly the head chef at Laughing Seed, is taken to new heights. The food here is creative, tasty and delivered in portion sizes appropriate for adults :) Dessert is not to be missed. Omnivores make up most of the customer base from what I can see but of course vegans and vegetarians flock in to enjoy fantoxicating food, organic wine and beer, friendly service and a peaceful atmosphere. An awesome and much needed addition to asheville's restaurant scene. Also, you might spot a celebrity there once in a while (most recently MOBY, who was in town for Moogfest). Bring your kid (the ice cream is off the hook!), your honey, your friends.. whoever. But make sure to call ahead for a rez!
