  • Great vegan crepes!

The inside of the cafe is painted in a pastel pink colour and it was this that we noticed first :-) There is definitely a French feel to the place which is supported by French-themed paintings on the wall (the owner is also French, I believe). The menu was written in German only, but it was fairly straight forward to decipher and the owner was happy to help with any queries. While the owner was busy (she was cooking/serving alone), she made time to be polite and exchanged light conversation. We chose two different types of crepe: caramel & nuts and white chocolate. The crepes were delicious and nicely presented with whipped cream and a pink napkin. My partner was in heaven with the white chocolate version that he chose. I ordered a chocolate and peanut butter pyramid-shaped dessert following the crepe which we ended up sharing. This tasted like a Snickers bar and was topped with a gold dusting. Very pretty (see photo section) and sweet! Overall, a nice experience. Fair prices for the crepes (3-4 euros each) and a great selection of cakes. OhLaLa cakes are stocked by at least two other vegan cafes in Berlin (Chaostheorie, Freckles) so if you don't make it to OhLaLa you can still sample their delights elsewhere. Recommended as a nice stop for breakfast or lunch. Would also make a nice place for a date.
