- Brisbane's Original Vegan Restaurant / Grocery Store
I've been going to The Green Edge for years, to both their old location, and their newer, larger, site in Windsor. They're worth the effort to get to and have been forerunners in the vegan community in Brisbane for as long as I can remember. The grocery side of the store is great with a huge selection of hard-to-find vegan dry goods and frozen goods. The cafe/restaurant has a decent selection: good coffee, juices, frappes, large range of freshly baked sweets, and amazing breakfast and lunch/dinner menus. Staff are always courteous and friendly which adds to the pleasant atmosphere. They hold regular fund-raising events for local animal welfare charities so keep an eye out for those too.
